Summer

It's summer. I realized this yesterday at WalMart when I looked down in my basket and saw sunscreen, goggles, Popsicles, swim rings, and a new bag of play sand.

Between t-ball, summer violin, art camp, VBS, and a trip to Colorado, I'm not sure life will really slow down all that much.

Like everything else, I will have to schedule some "lazy days" on our calender. That's the only way we'll have time to just blow bubbles and play in the sprinkler. And isn't that what summer is all about?

Wedding Day

One of the highlights of our spring was Jamie and Shannon's wedding. They are such a sweet couple and we were honored that they wanted Bailey and Zack to be a part of their special day.

Bailey was very shy and quiet about the whole thing. Zack, on the other hand . . . . well, I'm just glad the photographer didn't get a shot of him picking his nose during the ceremony.

It was such a beautiful day. . . . .

Anniversary

Last week was our 15th wedding anniversary. It came and went without much ado. Zack had t-ball, Bailey had a recital. It kind of slipped by with a promise to celebrate "when things settle down a little".

After 15 years, my heart still beats a little faster when Kris walks in the room and I find myself thinking about him when he is away. I get goosebumps when he holds my hand and sometimes, when he looks at me a certain way, he makes me weak in the knees. Literally.

Life is a little more hectic now. Kris' hair is a little grayer and I have a few little laugh lines. But I act like a silly little teenager when I talk about him.

It's been the best 15 years of my life . . . . . . . .
